THE SHOOTERS’ SPORTS CENTER, INC
FIREARMS PURCHASE PROTOCOLS
Firearms cannot be delivered directly to a consumer via any means other than person-to-person. Therefore; if you are purchasing a firearm online or by phone, you will need to involve a Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder.
Once you make your firearms purchase and have an order number in hand, you will be required to follow up with us and provide the email address and contact information (Business name, phone #, and address info) for the destination FFL holder and we will contact them, get a copy of their FFL, and initiate the shipment on your behalf.
You may choose any FFL that you want, to transfer your firearm to. However; remember, that FFL holders may not always be willing to transfer in firearms that they can order on your behalf and sell you. We always recommend that you use a local shop that would normally service your purchases anyway.
Things to consider when choosing an FFL holder;
FFL holders may charge you an incoming Transfer Fee,
FFL holders (dependent on the State of delivery) may charge you a Records Check Fee,
(Fees may vary from dealer to dealer)
FFL holder (dependent on the State of delivery) may require you to pay sales tax.
Once we receive the FFL holder information from you, we will contact them to arrange shipping (as soon as they provide us with their FFL info and we verify it). If your selected FFL holder does not respond within two (2) days, providing their FFL info, we will contact you for an alternate.
With the FFL info in hand, we will process and ship your order within two (2) business days and provide you with a tracking number by email. Delivery to your chosen FFL holder will take between 2-7 business days (dependent on the carrier, FEDEX, etc…) and whether it is a long gun or handgun.
(You may want to complete any necessary Records Check forms at the FFL holder in order to reduce the time it would take to actually receive the firearm upon its’ delivery to the FFL holder)
It is your responsibility to thoroughly inspect your firearm prior to taking delivery from the FFL holder and before the FFL holder completes the ATF required delivery paperwork. The Shooters’ Sports Center will not accept a return or exchange of firearm once it has been legally transferred into your name by the FFL holder.
If a defect or failure of the firearm occurs after that point, you must contact the manufacturer directly. Manufacturers (at their discretion) determine whether a firearm will be repaired or replaced. The dealer has no standing in this decision.

SUPPRESSOR PURCHASE PROTOCOLS
PLEASE READ COMPLETELY
Suppressors cannot be delivered directly to a consumer via any means other than person-to-person. Therefore if you are purchasing a suppressor online or by phone, you will need to involve a Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder that also is a Class 3 Special Occupational Tax (SOT) licensee.
Once you make your suppressor purchase and have an order number in hand, you will be required to follow up with us and provide the email address and contact information (Business name, phone #, and address info) for the destination FFL/SOT holder. We will contact the FFL to initiate paperwork and shipping.
Purchasing of a Suppressor, SBR, or Machine Gun requires that certain Federal and State laws be met. You may purchase these items as an Individual or a Tax Entity (Trust, LLC, etc…).
Purchasing as an Individual:
Purchasing from us and living local:
Once you have completed each of the following 3 steps, we will aid you in submitting the E-File Form 4.
Submit a Passport Photo obtained from AAA or Walgreens and placed electronically on a flash drive to bring in to us, or email to us; and
Obtain a UserID, Password, and PIN from the ATF using the link we would provide you so that you can sign off on the E-File Form 4 electronic form; and
Submit to electronic fingerprinting here at The Shooters’ Sports Center using state-of-the-art live scan machines and software from Bayometric.
Purchasing from us and living outside of the local area requiring it to be shipped to your favorite dealer:
Provide us with the info for the shop of your choosing – we will then work with that shop to ensure that the appropriate Form 3 paperwork is submitted to ATF to quickly get permission to ship that item to your favorite shop. They will work with you once they receive it, to complete the electronic Form 4 app.
Purchasing as a member of a Trust:
Purchasing from us and living local:
Once you have completed each of the following 3 steps, we will aid you in submitting the E-File Form 4.
Determine how many persons will be on the trust as users of the weapon; and Each of those persons that are over the age of 18yoa, must complete a Responsible Person Questionnaire and follow the 3 steps listed below.
As part of the E-File Form 4 submission process, you will be required to submit the $200 Tax Stamp Application Fee via Pay.Gov during the submission process.
NOTE: Though the current law does not require the signature of the local CLEO (Chief Law Enforcement Officer) of your community for the submission of a Suppressor or SBR/SBS, Wisconsin Statutes still require an approval letter from the CLEO for the purchase/possession of a Machine Gun.
We can assist you in obtaining that letter but keep in mind that CLEOs are not required to agree to it. Please consider the politics of the CLEO in your community before committing to the purchase of a Machine Gun.
As of 2024, we are finding that submissions of Individual apps are in most cases, taking 1-30 days whereas Trust applications are higher and may extend to over 5-6 months. Keep in mind that like a NICS or Handgun Records Check, the personal criminal history of the applicant(s) directly affects the timeline, and we are not privy to the reasons for denials/disapprovals, or delays.
You may choose any FFL/SOT that you want, to transfer your suppressor to. However, FFL/SOT holders may not always be willing to transfer in suppressors that they can order on your behalf and sell you. It is your responsibility to check with your chosen dealer prior to purchase. We always recommend that you use a local shop that would normally service your purchases.
Things to consider when choosing an FFL/SOT holder;
FFL/SOT holders may charge you an incoming Transfer Fee - For Instance, we charge a $100 Transfer Fee for NFA items not purchased from us,
FFL/SOT holder (dependent on the State of delivery) may require you to pay sales tax.
If you are a Wisconsin resident and live within 2-3 hours from our store location in Racine, WI, you may be better off purchasing from us, and having us complete the paperwork rather than involve an additional dealer. By having us complete the paperwork and commuting as necessary for the paperwork completion, you may eliminate that initial 5-11day dealer to dealer delay.
Once we receive the NFA dealer-to-dealer approval, we will ship the suppressor to the target FFL/SOT licensee.
It is your responsibility to thoroughly inspect your suppressor prior to taking delivery and before the FFL/SOT licensee completes the ATF required delivery paperwork. The Shooters’ Sports Center will not accept a return or exchange of suppressor once it has been legally transferred into your name by the FFL/SOT licensee.
